Welcome back! We hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend.
This week in reading, we will begin discussing Historical Fiction while also studying the difference between first and second hand accounts. We will identify the benefits of reading both accounts.
In writing we will begin studying some testing vocabulary. We are doing this due to the upcoming MAP testing at the end of this month. We will also go over some test taking tips.
In math, we will start our Geometry unit. Students will need protractors for this unit. We will be identifying and measuring angles, naming triangles, and finding angles in circles this week.
In science, we will spend half of this week learning about things that cause change to Earth's surface over time and conserving resources. The last half of the week, we will begin studying Missouri's economy and industry in Social Studies.
We will be reviewing words and homophones today and having a spelling test tomorrow over unit 15 word list. We will then begin working on unit 16. In that unit we will study le/al/el endings, "ly" suffix, and then test these words next Tuesday the 14th.
